CHAOS MINISTRY: INTERGENERATIONAL WORSHIP IN SMALL CHURCHES

Imagine worship that brings together every generation—children, youth, adults, and elders—through creativity, movement, and art. Imagine a space where everyone feels included, inspired, and able to participate fully.

Our upcoming Lifelong Learning workshop is designed just for faith leaders like you—especially those serving small or limited-resource churches. You don't need a big budget or a large team to foster broad participation in your worship services. You just need a willingness to try something new.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Discover simple, creative ways to make worship more engaging
  • Learn how to include people of all ages and abilities
  • Explore hands-on, art-filled practices you can use right away
  • Connect with other leaders who share your passion

This is a welcoming, practical, and energizing experience. You鈥檒l leave with ideas, tools, and renewed excitement for your ministry.

FAITH TALKS: Where the Black Church Speaks

Hosted via Zoom | Register here:
Zoom link will be provided after registration.
Questions? Email: bcs@lpts.edu

Join us for a virtual series that centers the voices, vision, and vitality of the Black Church. Each first Tuesday of the month, we'll be in conversation with pastors, scholars, creatives, and community leaders who are doing the work, living the truth, and shaping the future.

On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, join Rev. Dr. Barbara Fears, Associate Professor of Religious Education, Howard University School of Divinity for "Teaching Anyway: Black Christian Education as Liberative Praxis"

Black Christian education has long been a space for both spiritual formation and communal uplift, though Sunday School has often been narrowed to individualized biblical instruction. This conversation revisits the Black Church鈥檚 legacy of responding to moments of educational constraint with creativity and theological depth, calling the Church to once again develop Christian Education materials that form people for the embodied practice of faith. Such formation attends to race and gender as reflected in scripture, supports pathways toward upward mobility, and equips communities for informed civic engagement. Examples of lesson development that embody these commitments will be shared as a way of reimagining Christian education as liberative praxis.

This is more than a seminar—it's a gathering of faith, wisdom, and sacred dialogue. Whether you鈥檙e clergy, laity, alum, or just hungry for a space that feeds both soul and mind, you belong here.

Pull up to the screen. Tune into the truth. Engage the tradition.
